About Kota

Kota formerly known as Kotah is a city located in the southeast of northern Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located Around 250 kilometers (155 mi) south of the state capital, Jaipur. Situated on the banks of Chambal River, it is the third most populous city of Rajasthan after Jaipur and Jodhpur and 46th most populous city of India.

The city is one of the biggest trade Centre for an area in which millet, wheat, rice, pulses, coriander and oilseeds are grown; industries include cotton and oilseed milling, textile weaving, distilling, dairy, manufacture of metal handcrafts, fertilizers, chemicals and engineering equipment.

Kota is one of the industrial hubs in northern India, with chemical, engineering and all sources of power plants based there. The fine-grained variety of limestone quarried from Kota district is known as Kota stone. The industry of polishing of this Kota stone is also a significant contributor to the city's economy.

Kota is known for the fine translucent muslins popularly known as 'Masuria&' in Kota and Kota doria outside the state.

In the past decade the city has emerged as a popular coaching destination for competitive exams preparation and for profit educational services. The education sector of Kota has become a major contributor to the city's economy. Kota is popularly referred to as "the coaching capital of India". Over 1.5 lakh students from all over the country flock every year towards the city for preparation of various exams such as IIT, JEE, AIPMT and AIIMS etc.

Kota is well connected to all the major cities of India. Kota Junction is one of the divisions in West Central Railway. It is an important station on the Delhi-Mumbai main line.


About Kota branch 

Kota branch being one of the Branches of central region has more than 900 Members. Kota branch was set up during 1985-86 under the chairmanship of CA Shiv Raj Singh Gaur. The Branch has its own building with the facility of Information Technology Centre and GMCS Training Centre which are well used for its students.

Kota Branch conducts a host of activities throughout the year, including Workshops and Certificate Courses of the Institute like ISA PT classes, Concurrent Audit courses etc. for its Members apart from the regular CPE seminars. The Branch also organizes Sports activities, Cultural events, social gatherings for its Members and their families.

The branch has One ITT labs equipped with all modern amenities. The Branch also conducts GMCS, ITT, OT, MOCK Test and various activities for the students on regular basis With immense Pleasure we hereby provide the facts relating to Kota Branch.

  • 1. Till date 1020 Students have completed their GMCS I & II course from our Branch.
  • 2. Till date 3876 Students have completed their ITT & Advance ITT course from our Branch.
  • 3. Till date 3104 Students have completed their Orientation Program from our Branch.
  • 4. Started with 200 members in year 1985-86 have grown to giant tree with 882 members as on 3rd May 2016.
  • 5. Till date seminars conducted by our branch are 88 and CPE hours organized are 343.
  • 6. It is the first branch that has started celebrating the CA week instead of CA Day in- cooperating multiple socio-charitable activities and this branch mark program has gained significance all over the country and is now followed at many branches and we are in 5th year in a row celebrating the same.
  • 7. It is the first branch that organized the only Women CA Seminar that also has now gained popularity across country.
